Empowering second chances through skill, purpose, and community.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower individuals impacted by incarceration by providing industry-recognized training, meaningful mentorship, and career opportunities within the barbering profession.

We are dedicated to fostering economic independence, reducing recidivism, and breaking cycles of generational incarceration through education and community support.

Together, we work to create pathways to stability, dignity, and long-term success, building a future where every person has the opportunity to thrive and positively contribute to their communities.

Our FOunder

Antoine Carey

is a Fredericksburg-based entrepreneur and public speaker who transformed his life after incarceration by earning his barber license while in prison. Today, he owns Faded & Co. Barbershop and Faded & Co. Barber Academy, using his platform to combat recidivism and break generational cycles of incarceration. His story is featured in the 2019 documentary Fade in Full: The Story of Antoine Carey and in his book From Whom Much Is Given. Committed to restoring hope and uplifting returning citizens, Carey continues to share his journey as a voice for those who often go unheard.
